Karolina Kwaśnik

I would like for the things I create to inspire (not only children) to seek their passions. I myself am well aware of how different life is when we have a thing that gives us wings!

Books are my passion

I come from Bydgoszcz, where my passion for books, native language and folklore was born. I am a graduate of the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznańin the Management and Marketing course. Professionally, I was involved with advertising agencies here for many years before starting my own business a few years later at Instadruk / Socialdruk – the first place in Poland to print instagram photos.

When I became a mother, it was important for me to raise my children based on an understanding of emotions. Therefore, out of my own need, I created a book that was missing from the market at the time, thus returning to a childhood dream – to write. “Lena, teczka i niezwykła nagroda” is a story about insecurity, the need for closeness and the essence of passion. It is also the start of a series of books for children aged 6-11 under the common denominator of “Przystanek Szkoła”.

When a similar lack was felt in the family film market, I decided to develop in screenwriting and am actively pursuing my next dream – to produce a film for the whole family. “Dodaj mi skrzydeł!” is a story about longing for passion, for relationships and, above all, for a loved one, supportive and uplifting.

I am thrilled that this project delights not only me – I was a participant in 2. editions of SFPitch, organised by the Polish Filmmakers Association. in June 2023. the treatment of the film received second prize in the ‘Imagine Yourself’ competition, and from October 2023. The project is being developed during the Young Horizons Lab workshop with Philip LaZebnik.

Development is a very important thing for me and it is with great pleasure and commitment that I benefit from the knowledge of professionals, for example in numerous webinars and courses, such as the following. in Storylab.pro or the Typewriter.

I know how important it is to help children build confidence. I am committed to motivating children through encounters with books, films or passionate people to find their own talents and areas of interest that will brighten their every day.

My business is issues related to the young person:

  • writing children’s books
  • author meetings in schools, kindergartens, libraries
  • meetings with children at family film shows
  • scriptwriting
  • writing other short forms

I am determined to grow, and I am confident that the list of topics related to my current business will grow longer every month.
