For the love of artists and art

I am fascinated by the world inside the artist’s head – I also create prints and paintings myself, so the difficulties and dilemmas of creation are not foreign to me. I have a good understanding of the process of creating a work of art, and I like to immerse myself in the world of the artist for whom I am doing an exhibition – to feel the atmosphere, understand the train of thought during creation, see through his eyes and help viewers enter the artist’s world without fear.

Since 2013 I have been doing what I love – organizing international exhibitions. I work with collectors, state museums and art galleries, experienced and emerging artists. What I find most interesting is working with debuting artists, opening up for myself and for viewers the new, previously unseen.

In addition to the collaborations I mentioned and the artwork – I regularly and frequently meet privately with artists from different circles and groups, practically almost every day. Sometimes I go out with them to paint murals. I also collaborate with photographers and sculptors.

The artist for me comes first. Organizing an exhibition – this is also creativity. There are two types of curatorial work: the curator can express his thought through the artists’ works – by which the works are matched to the thought of the exhibition chairman, or he can match the exhibition to the artist’s works. I am the latter type of curator 🙂 – I prefer to show the artist’s world as it is. This is the influence of many years of working with museums and an ethic that comes out of empathy with artists, as I am one myself.
