Adam Żabiński

I am a graduate in industrial design from the University of Arts in Poznań. Creativity and a proactive approach are my defining traits. In my projects, I strive for the perfect blend of beauty and functionality.

I am constantly seeking aesthetics and inspiration in everyday life. The process of designing and creating physical objects provides me with a space to utilize my acquired skills in prototyping, sketching, woodworking, and technologies such as 3D printing, CAD, and CAM.

My Passions...

I am interested in cities, how they function, and how they are shaped by design. Beyond my core focus on product design, I am also passionate about graphic design, illustration, and fashion. I translate my ideas into reality using various software tools, including Blender, Fusion 360, the Adobe suite, and CAD systems, in which I have many years of experience. I enjoy actively engaging with the creative community—at university, I served as co-chair of the “Tok” design students’ academic club and was a member of the Student Government, co-organizing events and exhibitions.

In my projects, I focus on the real needs of various user groups:

Stoolboard (2023): I wanted to create a piece of furniture for a specific audience. Made of plywood, this stool was designed with skateboarders in mind, and its lines are based on the angles observed when performing tricks.

Personal Vessel (2023): An exploration of the relationship between the user and the object. I designed a ceramic bowl inspired by Japanese tradition, featuring a dedicated indentation that allows the hand to feel the warmth of the brew while drinking.

Walkwand (2024): A project supporting individuals with mobility limitations who face barriers in public transport. The tool is contoured to fit the elbow, providing greater stability and allowing for the comfortable gripping of high handrails in buses and trams.

ModPack (2025): An adaptive modular system designed to assist people in crisis situations. The main body, which serves as a backpack, features a snap-fastener system that allows for quick evacuation, easy exchange of components, and repair in unforeseen circumstances.

My motto:

Striving for the perfect blend of beauty and functionality.

This sentence perfectly captures my approach to design. Whether I am designing a simple piece of furniture for the skater subculture, a green tea bowl, or an advanced emergency product, what is crucial to me is a sense of aesthetics combined with solid engineering and structural knowledge. An object must be pleasing to the eye, but above all, it must solve real problems for its users.
