Albert Kowalski

I am a visual artist, focusing primarily on sculpture, installations, and spatial interventions.
In my works, I am interested in the semantic potential of objects, materials, and found situations, which I use to build narratives based on associations, humor, and subversiveness.
In my practice, I combine my experience in set design and prop making with my artistic activity.

My Passions...

I am passionate about the knowledge of materials and their processing. According to the postmodernist truth of materials, every medium carries a cultural, social, and emotional message. Their conscious juxtaposition in artworks creates new contexts that enrich the meaning of artistic practices.

I create art for myself, but I want the audience to feel a part of it. I experiment with different ways of engaging the viewer through affective interactivity.
I like to surprise, observe reactions, discuss, and deepen interpretations. I value this in my interactions with the audience. I strive to cultivate a dialogue with classical art. I often create my works in an eclectic manner, referencing various eras, styles, movements, and ideas.

My Philosophy:

“To be free and universal, you must create like a god, command like a king, and work like a slave.” – Constantin Brâncuși
