Definitely illustration.
Drawing has always been with me, and it was hard to tear me away from a pencil or paints—back then, I was still searching for the best possible technique.
I have been in love with illustration since I was 16. The whole adventure began the moment I started watching BoJack Horseman, and that is how I discovered Lisa Hanawalt—the person responsible for the visual side of the series. When I became interested in her work, I realized she has an incredible imagination, and oh my god, how much I wanted to be as creative as her! That is when my adventure began.
Education, on the other hand, was my second interest, but it stemmed more from a desire to explore learning methods so I could learn better myself. I never liked the teaching methods used in school, and interestingly, for many years, I didn’t think this could be my path. Over time, quite by chance, it all started to come together.
However, I do not want to be just another person who shows how to draw something correctly or how to properly render light and shadow. I want to teach creativity—looking at the world through the prism of one’s own self, rather than through the expectations of others.
For me, the most important thing is that everyone can shape their sensitivity and create without limitations.
For several years, I have been collaborating with magazines such as Zupełnie Inny Świat, Zakład, and Tlen Literacki. In my work, I strive to ensure that an illustration is not merely a pretty picture, but a visual message.
I believe that illustration carries a lot of power in its creative message.
