Can a 50-year-old explore the world on her own with a backpack on her shoulder? Can she create websites? Can she display her photos in virtual galleries? Definitely yes!

Backpack and camera through the world

I have been backpacking around the world for more than 20 years and discovering places from my dream list, which continues to grow. Although, according to many people, the 50+ stage is the time when dreams end, when all that’s left are retirement, home comforts and trips to the doctors.

For the past 10 years, there has been room in this backpack for a camera, as I bring back dozens of photos from every trip. For the past 5 years, I have published my impressions, photographic accounts and tips for others on my website” “That is my space”which I created myself. Iwork with travel portals and tour operators.

I love to share my passion for travel with people, at meetings and lectures where I talk about how to plan long and short trips myself.

I would like to organise such trips in the future for small groups of people who ‘would like to but are afraid’.

Or maybe for you?

I am a person who:

  • wants to prove that it is possible to combine a full-time job, numerous responsibilities and the mundane nature of everyday life with a passion for discovering and experiencing the world and its wonders
  • has a huge appetite for life, a willingness to learn new things and no fear of learning new skills
  • wants to share its knowledge and experience with others

“Travelling teaches you modesty. You see how little space you take up in the world.”

Gustave Flaubert
